Same here, when I started training it took me about 3 months to build some muscles. I would definitely recommend the training because it gives you confidence.
Now I am training like 2 years and I am able to lift weights of 70-75 kg.

I'm wanting to make this a huge focus in my life, any tips for a beginner looking to shed a few lbs and be consistent with it?

I also go to the gym, but due to time I can't focus so much...
but it is a hobby that I like and practice at least 2 or 3 times a week....

Diet I can't do so well lol

I hate it tbh but I still try to keep going 4 out of 7 days in a week and would recommend to anyone to push gym as much as possible because it really helps in many ways in life.

4 days a week is great, your routine is fine
I also want to keep between 3 to 4 days a week

in fact the gym helps a lot in health!
